This listing is for the pictured vintage Sterling Thimble.

A thimble is a protective cap worn on the finger to push a needle through fabric during hand sewing. It protects the finger from the sharp eye of the needle and provides extra power for piercing thick fabrics.

Silver is a fairly soft material, so it's perfect for not dulling needles as it makes repeated contact with the thimble

This thimble is about .75 inches tall and weighs 1.7 grams of sterling silver.
