This listing is for the pictured J.C. Walsh & Sons Sterling Silver Celtic Tara Brooch

The original Tara Brooch was hidden on the east coast of Ireland sometime during the 11th or 12th century, most likely to protect it from Viking or Norman invaders. It was rediscovered around 1850.

This piece would make a perfect gift for St. Patrick's Day 

The pin measures 6cm across at its widest.

It weighs 18.3 grams and is made out of .925 Sterling Silver
