Stunning sterling silver ring featuring 2 coral/turquoise inlaid stones in the center with 2 others set like crescent moons on the distal end of the sides of the ring. Stamped inside the ring is "Philippines," "925," and a "T" or "I" hallmark. The Navajo believed turquoise was a sacred stone used for protection from evil, good fortune, and health. The turquoise blue is very special in Navajo culture resembling the sky and water. Coral has been used by Native Americans for at least 600 years in art and jewelry which was brought to them from Europeans arriving in their travel to the New World. The use of coral was used heavily by the Zuni tribe in the southwest. Beautiful ring to spruce up your jewelry collection!
