This listing is for a 1830 Five Kurus from the Ottoman Empire from the Reign of Mahmud II. The Ottoman Empire was a very powerful empire that existed from the late 13th century to the 20th century. The area where it took place is now our modern-day Turkey. The Obverse of this coin depicts the Tughra in the center within a 3/4 wreath chain. The Reverse has the regnal year, Constantinople mint name, central, and the accession year below, all within a 3/4 chain wreath. Great Find!
