This listing is for America's First Medal General Horatio Gates. This was the second in the U.S. Mint Ten Piece series of pewter reproductions of America's first medals. The Obverse of this medal features a left-facing portrait of General Gates. The reverse of this depicts "With safety of the northern regions" in scribed in Latin and General Burgoyne surrendering his sword to General Gates. This comes in the red velvet display case and also has a small informational pamphlet about the history and creation of this. Great Find!!!
