This listing is for the photographed 1972 (1974) Central Reserve Bank of El Salvador 5 Colones Note. Series VD. Issued by the Central Reserve Bank of El Salvador (El Banco Central de Reserva de El Salvador). Obverse printed date is October 24th, 1972, but an over stamp on the reverse by the Superintendency of Banks, Financial Institutions, and Others shows a later issue date of October 29th, 1974. The obverse of this note displays a center engraving of the painting "Primer Gritode Independencia, 1957 (First Cry of Independence, 1957) by Luis Vergara Ahumada. The reverse of this note shows a portrait of Christopher Colombus at the left center with a black overprint of the Superintendency seal and a newer issue date. Very Fine (VF) grade/condition, some signs of circulation. Great addition to any collection! P#117 (Pick Number 117). Rarer El Salvador note!
